A direct invite from the Japanese Consulate!  Let's get a good showing and see this year's new JETs off properly!

At the end of next week we will be holding a pre-departure lunch for the new participants on the JET Program and we’d like to invite you to join the farewell lunch!

We would like to have JET alumni represented by a fairly large contingent, but have limitations—a RSVP IS REQUIRED IF YOU’D LIKE TO ATTEND! (And we’d like you to attend.)

We'll be having this month's Happy Hour THIS FRIDAY. Here are the details:

WHEN: Friday, July 23 @ 6:00PM
WHERE: Corner Tavern, near Hynes Convention Center on the Green Line

WHY: One last hoorah before the new JETs head out! Outgoing JETs for 2010 have been invited, so it's up to us to show up and answer their last-minute
questions!

Of course and as usual, all are welcome to join (please, sirs, we want some more!) but this is the last chance for the new kids to see us sempais before
they head off to the Land of the Rising Sun. Come on out so we can bid you farewell, awesome food and drinks and company-style!

A final reminder that if you haven't updated your membership info with us, tomorrow is the last day!

At the general meeting tomorrow we will be reviewing your comments about what types of NEJETAA events you'd like to see and more. It looks like language learning, dinner events, happy hours, cooking parties, and speakers/seminars are the events you're most interested in and a few also requested some family-friendly activities.
