Executive Director Sought for Japan-America Society of Oregon

The mission of the Japan-America Society of Oregon (JASO) is to promote cultural and business exchange with Japan and to enhance mutual understanding between the U.S. and Japan throughout Oregon and Southwestern Washington. Founded in 1907 by leaders in the Japanese business community and now known simply to its members as JASO (jă-zō), the organization has served as a primary link between the region and Japan for more than century. JASO is the third oldest society of its kind in the U.S.

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall professional leadership and management of JASO, including but not limited to Board, member, and community relations, institutional advancement, and program, fiscal, and administrative management. Reporting to and working in concert with the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers, the Executive Director will move JASO forward in the development and implementation of internal and external goals that reflect the organization’s vision, mission, annual goals, and strategic long-term plan.
