Info about a great event coming up this weekend! Check it out if you’re free and around.

Launched in 2011, The Brookline Cherry Blossom Festival (formerly named Brookline Sakura Matsuri) began with a gift of cherry trees to Brookline High School from Mr. Hikihara the Consul General of Japan.

Loud and thunderous, in addition to food, games, and music, the festival’s artistic draw is the region’s only public taiko drumming showcase featuring taiko groups throughout New England.

If you’re interested in meeting up with other JET Alums, contact Dan (social@nejetaa.com)

Feeling nostaglic? Get a little taste of Japan at the Japan Festival Boston, held on the Boston Common on Sunday, April 26th. The festivities will run from 10am to 5pm and include stage performances, Japanese food, and cultural booths.

Come be a part of NEJETAA’s booth – Morning and Afternoon volunteers needed! Contact Tim at webmaster [at] nejetaa [dot] com. Share your JET experience and talk with people interested in Japan!

Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
