Interested in presenting to an audience of American and Japanese professionals about your time in Japan, while being compensated for it? On Friday, February 13, five JET Alumni will have the chance to speak at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals in Marlborough about exciting and surprising aspects of living in Japan.

Each presentation will be in pecha kucha 20×20 style, meaning that each of your 20 slides must be set to automatically transition every 20 seconds. An example can be found here.Possible topics include, but are not limited to, Japanese healthcare, Japanese work culture, transportation, advertising, and food presentation.Please send a 100-200 word presentation pitch to Dan Lowe at social at nejetaa dot com. Winners will be announced on Friday, January 16. Each presenter will be paid $250, courtesy of Sunovion Pharmaceuticals. Presenters have the option to either drive directly to Sunovion (84 Waterford Drive Marlborough, MA  01752-7010) or take provided transportation from Showa Boston Institute at 2pm (420 Pond St., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130). If you drive on your own, please arrive at Sunovion by 3pm.

This year NEJETAA will be hosting the 2nd Annual Northeastern Region Ski Trip from February 6th to 8th. We will be going to Killington Ski Resort, which is the largest Ski area in the eastern United States. We will be staying at the Cascades Lodge, which is a full service hotel with a pub and common areas for hanging out. It also offers a indoor swimming pool, a Finnish Sauna, and a hot tub. A hot breakfast is available on an individual basis for $15. Additionally, for those who are not interested in skiing, the Killington area offers much to do. There are options for individuals do Cross-Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, and other winter activities. Killington Resort is also only 35 minutes from the lovely town of Woodstock, VT with many options for eating and shopping; and 20 minutes from the Long Trail Brewery.
