We are fantastically excited to announce that NEJETAA is hosting a Ski Trip to Killington, VT. And you’re invited!
Last time around, we gathered together for a day on the slopes of Waterville Valley. Some of us spent the day learning new tricks from the masters, some used the time to hone their already impressive skills, and others just enjoyed playing in the snow. Truly it was awesome. But when the day was done some of us thought “wouldn’t it be great if we could keep on doing this tomorrow, too?”
So guess what? That’s what we’re doing! And not just us, but the JET Alumni Associations of New York, Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto are all putting out the word to their memberships, too. The whole North Eastern family is coming together. And since we luckily live so close, those of us who’d rather keep it to a day trip can just join us on Saturday and do just that.
Here’s the details:
Where? Mt. Killington, Vermont (http://www.killington.com/winter/index.html)
When? January 31st to February 2nd. (Or just February 1st if you prefer a day trip.)
How Much? It’s not final, but these are the projections: Lift tickets are $61 for 1 day, or $117 for two days. Ski/Snowboard rentals are $35 for 1 day, or $60 for 2 days (helmets are an extra $5 or $10 for 1 or 2 days).
Lodging? Summit Lodge (http://www.summitlodgevermont.com/) $119.50 – $179.00 for for 2 nights (depending on how many people are in the room – options are 4, 3 or 2 people in one room).
What’ll We Do? Ski, snowboard, snowshoe, cross-country ski, snow tubing ($10 per person for 1.5 hours), rock climbing ($15 for a day pass, $10 first timer lesson). We can even arrange snowmobiling if there’s enough interest!

We are excited to announce that NEJETAA is partnering with the Japan Society of Boston for our last happy hour of the year. Join us for pints and terrific networking opportunities with JET alumni and the Japan Society of Boston.
Date: 6-8pm, Friday, November 22nd
Location: The Lansdowne. Kenmore Square Preregistration Entrance Fee: $10 for JETs/JSB member $20 for non-members
