Japan events at South Shore Middleborough Library

South Shore folks, Middleborough Library has fun Japan events and workshops this week:

Introduction to Bonsai Design Workshop Wednesday, April 24 – 6 – 8PM Lecture and demonstration on the care, history & techniques of Bonsai Registration is not required for this free program.

Learn How To Draw Manga Thursday, April 25 – 1-2PM Artist Debbie Banna will teach teens and kids how to draw manga and cartoon art. Teens grades 6-8: 1-2 PM (more details); Kids grades K-5 2:30-3:30. Registration is required for this free program and participation is limited to 30 kids per session.

Odaiko New England Friday, April 26 – 7 – 8:30PM Delight in the powerful sounds and dynamic movements of Taiko. Registration is not required for this free program. This program will take place at the Middleborough Town Hall.

Origami Saturday, April 27 – 1 – 3PM Go hands-on with Origami; the Japanese art of paper folding with Marilyn Thayer. Registration is not required for this free program.

The Japanese Cultural Festival is made possible through the support of the Friends of Middleborough Public Library and the Middleborough Cultural Council.
