Great Grandfather’s Drum tells the story of the families and musicians of the taiko drum ensemble, Maui Taiko, as well as the recollections of local Japanese-Americans who honor and perpetuate traditions that have been brought to Hawaii by their immigrant ancestors during the plantation era.
