A message from Timothy Nagaoka, Japanese teacher in Boston Public Schools:
On Sunday, March 9th from 11:00am to 4:00pm at Copley Square in Boston, I am organizing an event called, “Cranes on the Square @ Copley Square” to commemorate the third anniversary of the Great Northeast Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. The event will get the public involved in folding paper cranes. I have posted a video on Youtube describing the event:
I have over 30 high school students volunteering in the morning. However, I do not have many volunteers in the afternoon. I am looking for volunteers who are willing to help people fold paper cranes. I am looking for volunteers to help in the following shifts:
Shift 1: 1:00pm-3:00pm Shift 2: 3:00pm-5:00pm
If you are able to volunteer, please email cranesonthesquare at gmail dot com with your name and the shift that you are volunteering for. Or, if you know someone that may be interested in volunteering, please forward the message to them.
Thank you,
Timothy Nagaoka
