Made a New Year’s Resolution to practice speaking Japanese and enjoy some great Japanese food? We can help with that! Join us this Wednesday (1/15) at 7pm for our first Nihongo Dake Dinner of the year at Blue Fin in Porter Square! Enjoy speaking Japanese with great company while enjoying top class Japanese food. Those who attended our Nihongo Dake event at Snappy Ramen can attest, great times will be had by all. Spots are still open! See details below: What: Nihongo Dake Dinner! Who: You! and your Japanese speaking friends When: 7pm, January 15th (Wed.) Where: Blue Fin Restaurant, 1815 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02140 Cost: Approximately $20, depending on attendees (+drinks) There will be appetizers generously provided by CLAIR, the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations.

Beginning on January 10th, 2014, NEJETAA will host the 2014 JETAA USA Regional Conference at the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies at Harvard University, in Cambridge, MA. NEJETAA members and friends are invited to join us in welcoming JETAA delegates from across America and Canada as well as members of the Japan-America community for our evening nijikais and sanjikais on Friday (1/10) and Saturday (1/11) evenings. Details are below:
9:45 pm Friday (1/10), start out at Charlie’s Kitchen in Harvard Sq Sanjikais will be Beat Hotel, Russell House Tavern, Daedalus, or Tasty Burger – Come find us!
8:30 pm Saturday (1/11) – start out at Scholar’s in Downtown Crossing. Sanjikais will be Jm Curley or Silvertone

An update for those interested in or have supported “Tohoku Tomo”, a documentary by Wesley Julian, President of JETAA Chicago. “Tohoku Tomo,” a documentary film chronicling the international volunteer efforts in the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, is expected to be released in early 2014.
