The Forest Hills Educational Trust is pleased to announce that the 15th annual Lantern Festival will be held on Thursday, July 18th. A much-loved community event for Jamaica Plain, as well as Greater Boston, the Lantern Festival draws its inspiration from the Japanese Obon Festival — a celebration each year when a door opens to the world of their ancestors allowing loved ones to send messages to the other side. It is a time when neighbors come together to share stories, celebrate, and honor the memories of loved ones. Enjoy multicultural performances and the warmth of the greater Boston community at this special annual event!

Hope everyone is enjoying the wicked hot summer!
NEJETAA’s next Happy Hour will be Wed. August 7th at 6pm. We are checking out a new place we’ve never been to called Owl Station Bar. They have Japanese food, sushi, and Japanese cocktails and sake! Ok so maybe it’s not the most authentic, but it looks like a fun place to go after work!
Owl Station is conveniently located right across from the Broadway T station on the Red Line (map).
Please RSVP to Trish our Treasurer (treasurer at nejetaa dot com) by Tues. August 6th.
August will be a quiet month for NEJETAA so we hope you will come out and join us!
